After spending the most part of the Christmas break and new year focusing on researching and writing the bulk of the dissertation, I have now begun to explore new styles and methods of illustrating my ideas.
I re-discovered monument valley - a game I used to play when it first came out and long forgotten about. The game encompasses a lot of the concepts I am using throughout my design thesis - especially through using Escher's work throughout the structure of the game, as well as playing with the observers perception throughout. I used the graphics and minimalist colour palette that aids with the manipulation of perception:
After tweaking the colour palette further, I incorporated one of the above images into the front cover for my dissertation submission:
