Folly-ing around on Rhino3D

Updated: Nov 12, 2020

After working predominantly on Sketchup and Vectorworks for the past 3+ years, I am interested to see how learning a new - and what initially seems to be somewhat of a complex software will transpire.

Since attending a DDW workshop at University, I began experimenting with forms in an abstract manner to get used to the controls and commands. Once I activated the gumdrop tool I found modelling in the perspective view much nicer, however I have found that the Windows/Mac interfaces and short cuts differ which is something I will have to get used to. Once I had managed to create varying polylines, I experimented with the loft and patch tool in order to create some weird wavy shapes which I would not have been able to in Sketchup.
