Development of primary structural beams:

Secondary smaller beams will span in the adjacent direction to support the undulating roof structure. Beams are proposed below the roof build up in order to insulate above the structure - reducing the number of cold bridges. An intensive green roof requires a large build up within the roof space, therefore rafters below also reduces to encroachment into this void.
