Beginning the design for the new Institute of Technical Textiles - I have looked at precedents such as the Park Royal Hotel in Singapore for visual inspiration as well as "super green buildings" such as the BIQ building as part of the International Building Exhibition as an example of architecture using sustainable bio fuel as a way to power the building and neighbouring plots, as well as an array of additional 'green' elements.

I really like the 'geo architecture' style of the lower levels of this building. As a building that includes an abundance of multi level tropical gardens, this structure is inspired by the natural contours of the Earth and implemented into the apparent structure of hotel.
The BIQ apartment building in Germany is cladded with a "bio-adaptive facade", which uses live micro-algae growing in glass louvres to generate renewable energy and provide additional shade for the residents. I think there is something really artistic about the facade and think it could be implemented into the design of the Institute of Technical Textiles.
