Remediated Landscapes - John Cook

Through developing the final tryptic image for the TMA1196 submission I was directed towards John Cooks Remediated Landscapes project. I wish I had found this set of works sooner as I felt it had a direct relationship with the aims and themes of my own project.

Focusing on the visuals, I noticed that there seemed to be less information on the individual images - however they made more of an impact, the renders/matte paintings only focus on the post remediation rather than the process of remediating. Developing my images further I will try to adopt an element of simplicity whilst remaining true to my individual theme and style.
